Uns expands the narrative and sonic universe created last year, for Out of the Loop. This time, the metallic percussion take prominence. The musical narrative grows, building – step by step – a collectivity, from which comes the title of the album: Uns.

Uns is a word that connects two languages: Portuguese and German. In Portuguese, it means “some” (a small plural of “one”, we may say) and the plural of the number 1. In German, it means “us”. The album is guided by this duplicity that it only takes some so they can become… us. From that, comes the title of the first song: Searching ones.

Because of that, the album carries a heavier sound that Out of the Loop, with more instruments, more low pitched and intense attacks and more textures with different balances than before: in every part of the album, an instrument steps forward before the others, as if the listener could walk among a group of people and instruments. There is no main instrument on Uns.

Uns expande o universo narrativo e sonoro criado no ano passado, para Out of the Loop. Desta vez, as percussões de metal ganham mais espaço. A narrativa musical se amplia, para uma construção passo a passo de uma coletividade, de onde deriva o título do álbum: Uns.

Uns é uma palavra que conecta dois idiomas: o português e o alemão. Em português, ela significa “alguns” (um plural, digamos, pequeno de um) e o plural do número 1. Em alemão, ela significa “nos”, o pronome pessoal para “nós”. O álbum é guiado por essa duplicidade de que bastam alguns para que eles possam se tornar... nós. Daí, também deriva o nome da música de abertura: Searching ones.

Por isso, o álbum carrega uma sonoridade mais pesada do que Out of the Loop, com instrumentos em maior quantidade, mais ataques graves e intensos e mais texturas com equilíbrios diferentes do que antes: em cada parte do álbum, um instrumento se sobressai frente aos outros, como se o ouvinte pudesse caminhar no meio de um grupo de pessoas e instrumentos. Não existe instrumento principal em Uns.
